01) Why choose Out&Out?
Out & Out is a name to trust. We are the longest
established club of our type. Our success has been featured on many TV
and radio programmes and in both the gay and straight press. More importantly,
hundreds of satisfied members choose to renew their memberships year after
year.
We offer a personal service We are the only company we know of who offer personalised table plans and follow-up calls. You will be greeted personally at each event and made to feel welcome. We can also put you in touch with other members following our functions.

We know that you will enjoy being a member of Out & Out like
hundreds of men before you. You have the assurance that you are
joining an established club, whose organisers collectively have over 20
years of experience of introducing likeminded gay men. To our knowledge
we have the largest database of active members of any club/agency for
gay men, and because of this we are the only organisation able to offer
tailor-made guest lists for our events. Detailed table plans also ensure
compatibility and prevent cliquiness.
Since we pioneered the concept 13 years ago we have seen many ‘copycat’
clubs come and go, none lasting more than a year – usually because
of lack of members. Please do not confuse us with these clubs. Our staying
power is proof of the emphasis we put on providing a professional and
caring service, and of the importance we place on ensuring that you have
a great time at our events.
We are also long standing members of the Gay Business Association and
abide by their codes of practice.
03) Who may I meet?
Unless you specifically ask to avoid a certain “type”
the answer is anybody. We have doctors, accountants, MPs writers,
musicians, bankers, builders, vets, introverts, extroverts….in fact,
you name it and we’ve probably got one! The common denominator,
if there is one, is that most of our members are bright, educated, sociable
and able to enjoy themselves at a dinner party! We also bear in mind your
own preferences regarding age-groups, interests, outlook etc.

04) What is a typical event
like?
When you attend our events you will be greeted by one of our experienced
hosts who will welcome you and introduce you to the other guests.
The event – whether it be a dinner party or a theatre trip –
should feel like a night out with friends, some old some new! We pay an
enormous amount of attention to detail and the events are well organised,
so that all you have to do on the night is turn up and have a great time.
Our members are always pleased to see new faces and are very welcoming.
As we control the guest lists and table plans, cliquiness is never a problem.
Whether you are attending a dinner party or special event, we always allow
you time to mingle and chat in addition to the dinner party element. For

05) Is Out & Out a Lonely
Hearts Club?
Absolutely not, this is the last thing we are! We offer
you the opportunity to enjoy some fabulous events, whilst widening your
social horizons. Many of our members form wonderful long term friendships
through the club and have completely transformed their social lives; others
have found love and set up home with partners they have met through the
club (we are even organising our first O&O weddings!). These are natural
consequences of meeting likeminded men in a relaxed friendly atmosphere.
Nothing is forced; nobody is desperate; there is none of the embarrassment,
awkwardness or uncertainty associated with lonely hearts and dating agencies,
and none of the superficiality of the scene.
(We are also a lot cheaper than a lot of ‘Lonely Hearts’ agencies!)

06) How old are your members?
Our members range from 21 to 78, but we endeavour to place you
with people around your own age unless you request otherwise.
The majority of our members fall between the 26 – 46 age group.
Members in this group can therefore expect more invitations than average.
07) What is the dress code?
As we take over entire restaurants or private rooms in restaurants
we can usually determine our own dress code. This is normally
‘smart casual’ i.e. whatever you would normally wear to a
dinner party / theatre etc. Occasionally, events determine their own dress
code (e.g. Glyndebourne require black tie). When this is the case we will
always inform you in advance
08) Can anyone join?
No. We do reserve the right to decline membership applications
if we feel that the club is not going to be suitable for you. This should
become apparent on our initial interview. In this instance, we will refund
your membership in full.
09) How often will I attend events?
This is entirely up to you! Throughout your membership
you will be informed by telephone of all events we feel you would enjoy.
Most people attend one event per month although some attend up to 30 events
per annum.
10) Can you guarentee confidentiality?
Absolutely, yes. Nearly all events are held in private
rooms. Where this is not possible, eg theatre trips, you will be warned
in advance. We do not share our database with third parties, and members’
details are stored at a private address. We will only pass on your details
to another member with your specific permission. Whilst we understand
that for many of our members none of the above is a problem, for the few
whose privacy is of paramount importance, we ensure absolute confidentiality.
11) How much does it cost to join Out & Out
To celebrate our new look web site we are currently offering £50
off our annual membership fee, bringing the price down to just £169
(normal price £219). We also offer an option to spread
payments over a year. Renewal rates thereafter are just £99 per
annum.
12) How much do events cost?
The venues we use are of a high standard and offer excellent value
for money. You pay in advance and the price is all inclusive.
Most dinner parties cost between £45-£59, which includes aperitif,
three course meal, wine, coffee, and service. There are no hidden extras
on the night.
13) Can I put my membership on hold?
Yes. If, for any reason you are unable to use your membership
for a period, or wish to put it on hold for personal reasons we are happy
to credit any unused months of an annual membership for use at a later
time. All we ask is that you request this in advance of your time out.
This credit is for membership benefits only, it has no monetary value
and is available for periods of no less than three months.
14) I’m shy – will
I cope!
It is our job to help you on your way! We are here to
put you at ease before you even attend your first event and are there
to look after you from the moment you walk through the door. If you are
on the shy side, we will always take care to introduce you to our friendliest
members who can take you under their wing until you start to fly on your
own! We believe that while some people are obviously more shy than others,
nearly all members are a little nervous about meeting new people until
they actually turn up and see that the room is full of men just like them
who are out to meet new people and have a great time.
15) What about smokers?
Unless you request otherwise, we sit smokers and non smokers together.
HOWEVER, we do ask smokers to refrain from smoking during the meal or
to go to a smoking area (usually at the bar) if they really cannot wait.
After the meal, guests are free to sit where they like so there are rarely
issues.
16) Can couples attend events?
Yes! We are delighted to welcome couples to the club.
It is a great way to meet like-minded men in a relaxed environment where
men are not just after one thing! Many couples who have met through the
club continue to attend events and many more join independently. We also
offer a discount to couples joining Out & Out of 50% off the second
persons membership (currently £254 for a years membership for 2
instead of £338 / £438)
