Out and Out was founded by Julia Melinek and Mark Glanville, who met as soloists on the international operatic stage. The club was primarily started for a small group of friends. Word quickly spread, and in no time they were running an exciting full time club which continues to grow largely by personal recommendation. Julia is still enjoying a career as an operatic soloist in addition to her role as gay society hostess! Indeed, a large party of Out & Out members recently enjoyed a night at English National Opera watching their hostess sing the title role in ‘Madam Butterfly’! She has appeared across the media discussing issues affecting gay men, their relationships, and the special relationship between gay men and straight women. Mark’s first book, a memoir, was shortlisted for two major literary awards.
